One week down!

We have made it through one week of our wait for our LOA! :) We're moving right along. (Trying to be positive!) :)

We are very fortunate cookies, indeed!

21 minutes ago our agency sent us an update on Bailey from her SWI. So, while I was posting the other photos from LeeAnn we had even more news coming from "far away". :)

This is what the report says

Height: 33 inches Weight: 24 pounds Teeth: 16 Foot size: 4.9 inches
She is in the “grandma and me” program sponsored by Half the Sky. There is a “life book” that the grandma writes every week. The family will receive the book when they get the child. Here are a few current pictures from her book. She can button and unbutton her jacket. She is a girly girl who likes dolls and to play dress up. She likes to help taking care younger children. Most of the time, she is a good listener.

Fortune Cookie Prediction

Last night I had a fortune cookie from our favorite Chinese restaurant. It said, "Good news will come from far away".
Well, last night I received 10 more photos of Bailey from my friend LeeAnn. LeeAnn lives in Colorado. Is that considered far away?? The photos were taken in China...that is far away.

LID!!!!!!

If you blinked, you might have missed that we found out yesterday that our dossier went to China last Friday (3/16). Well, this morning we received an email from our agency letting us know that our dossier was delivered to the CCAA and it was logged in TODAY!!!
So, our official LID is 3/22/07. We are officially in the WAITING line now!!

Thank you, Lord!!!!!!!!

Hang on, Bailey!!! Mama and Daddy will be there soon!!!

We Are DTC!!!

We just received an email from our agency letting us know that we are DTC!!! We were officially DTC on Friday 3/16! :)

Daddy's Boo Boo

Most of our friends and family know that Marty had a pretty nasty accident on his motorcycle back in January. He was a very good patient and took it all in stride. He worked from home for a few weeks but is now back at the office.

Got Lashes???

The first thing our guide Roger told us when he saw Brinley in another room just before they brought her in to us was, "Your daughter is here and she has very loooong eyelashes!"

He wasn't kidding! :)

Dossier Completed!

Today our dossier was dropped off at the UPS for an overnight trip to our agency. Hopefully, everything is in order and our paperwork will be winging it's way to CHINA in the next few days! :)

If all goes smoothly we should be traveling at some point this summer to bring Bailey home! :)

VIDEO OF BAILEY!!!

I nearly fainted when I saw the email from Tami this morning telling me that she had video of the little ones she saw in China at the SWI! 42 seconds of Bailey!!!

Tami has been home less than 24 hours and she has already sent us a WONDERFUL gift!!! Look at these beautiful photos of our sweet girl!!! :)

Brinley Before

These were the only photos we received of Brinley before we traveled in Dec. 2005. We were so blessed to receive them from an unknown source. ;)
Needless to say Miss Han Wei Ya was not a happy girl. We have never seen this expression on her face. Someone must have really made her mad.

Making Our Way Through The Paperchase!

We sent our dossier to Carol Fredericks Thursday. She received it Friday and was able to have some of our paperwork authenticated that same day. Today she is taking in the rest of it in for us. We should have our paperwork back here tomorrow or Wednesday and then it will be going straight to our agency to be sent to CHINA!!!!

HOOOOOOOOORAY!!!!! I think we are almost DTC for Bailey!!!!!!!!!!!!

We met Bailey today! She is so, so sweet. The caretaker had her saying hello and mommy for us in English. She is such a treasure. I will try to get at least one picture for you on my website and the rest when we return.

I think 2t's would work for Bailey. She is still quite petite."
